Our restaurant is on the Bada gadesh maidagin road in Varanasi. It’s right in the middle of the Chowk Thana area, which is always full of life. We are actually just opposite the Harshchand inter college. Because of the college, we see a lot of students coming in for a quick bite between their classes. Varanasi is a very old and crowded city, and our street is no different. It can be quite loud with the traffic and the people walking to the ghats. We have been here for a bit, just doing our thing. The shop isn't very large, but we try to fit everyone in. It’s a simple setup with basic furniture. We don’t have a menu that is five pages long. We just make what we know people like to eat. My family helps out with the daily work. Sometimes the electricity goes out or the road gets blocked, but we just keep going. That’s how life is here in the Chowk. We don’t talk about missions or visions. We just wake up, open the shutters, and start cooking. If you are walking down Maidagin road and need a place to sit for a minute, you can come in. It’s a practical spot for anyone who is navigating the busy streets of Varanasi. We are just a small part of this big city, trying to keep the stove hot and the guests fed.
