Sandesh Sweets & Restaurants

You can find us in Varanasi, specifically in the Golghar area near Kutchery. We are located at Gool Ghar, and the State Bank of India is right nearby, so there are always people around doing their banking or heading to the courts. It is a very busy part of town with a lot of noise and activity. We do sweets and also have the restaurant side of things. Many people stop in after they finish their work at the Kutchery or while they are out running errands in the market. Varanasi is always full of energy, and this spot near Golghar is no different. We have been here for a good while, watching the traffic go by every day. The mornings are spent setting up the sweet displays and getting the kitchen going for the lunch crowd. It gets a bit hot in the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and keep serving whoever walks through the door. We aren’t a big fancy establishment, just a local spot where you can get something to eat without any fuss. Sometimes the cows wander by the front door, and the rickshaws are always honking, but that is just life in Varanasi. We know many of the shopkeepers around here, and we all just do our own thing. Whether someone wants a quick sweet or a full meal, we are usually here from early on until the evening when things finally quiet down a bit in the market.
