Raisin Restro is tucked away on Sankat Mochan Road over in the Lanka area of Varanasi. Being so close to the Sankat Mochan Mandir means we see a lot of people passing by every day. It's a lively part of town and we've been here for a while now. We opened this place because we liked the idea of having a small spot where students from the university and temple visitors could grab a bite. The space isn't huge, but we make it work. It gets a bit loud when the fans are on and people are talking over their meals, but that's just how it is in Lanka. We don't spend much on advertising or anything like that. Most people just walk in because they're in the neighborhood or heading to the temple. Our kitchen isn't very big, so things take a little time when it’s busy. We try to keep the menu simple so we don't get overwhelmed. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon, but for now, we're just focused on the cooking. It's a family-run kind of vibe here. We live nearby, so this place feels like a second home to us. If you're walking down towards the temple, you'll see us. It’s just a plain, honest spot to sit down and eat. No fancy stuff, just food and a place to rest your feet for a bit.
