New Kovil Restaurant

New Kovil Restaurant is located at 64 Chandrika Nagar on Sigra Road here in Varanasi. We are right across from the MCD office, so we see a lot of people coming and going from there throughout the day. Sigra is a busy part of town and our street is no exception. We started this place because we wanted to work for ourselves. It isn't a massive establishment, just a regular restaurant where you can sit down and have a meal. The walls are decorated with a few simple things, but mostly we just focus on the tables and the kitchen. Varanasi is a city with a lot of history, and we are just a small part of the current day-to-day life here. We get up early to fetch the fresh supplies from the market. Dealing with the traffic on Sigra Road can be a headache sometimes, but we manage. We don't use any complicated systems to run things. We just write down orders and bring out the food when it is ready. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud and the air gets thick when we are frying things, but that is part of the job. We have regulars who have been coming since we first opened our doors. We don't do much advertising. People usually just find us by walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor. It is a humble life, just running a kitchen in Chandrika Nagar. We take each day as it comes and try to keep things moving.
