Monalisa Restaurant Roof Top is over in the Madanpura area of Varanasi. Our address is D-29/11. We are near the Monalisa Palace Cottage in Devnathpura. Being on the rooftop is nice because you get away from the crowded streets for a bit. Varanasi is a very old and busy city, as everyone knows. Up here, you can see the rooftops of other buildings and get a bit of a breeze. We have some tables and chairs set up. It is a simple place to eat. We don't have an elevator, so you have to walk up the stairs. It is a bit of a climb but people don’t seem to mind. We serve food to travelers and locals who find their way into these small lanes. The area around Madanpura is full of life and narrow roads. Sometimes it’s hard to find us the first time, but once you do, it’s easy. We keep the lights dim in the evening. It’s not a five-star place, just a restaurant run by people who live here. We cook the food fresh when someone asks for it. Sometimes it takes a little longer if the kitchen is full. We just want people to sit and relax for a while. It’s a quiet spot above the noise of the city. We’ve been here for years now and the view is still good.
