Indiacity Family Restaurant

Our place is in Varanasi, over in Gurukirpa colony on Nadesar Road. We’re pretty easy to find because we are quite close to the Hotel Taj. It’s a decent spot. We call ourselves a family restaurant because that’s mostly who comes through the doors—families living in the colony or staying at the hotels nearby. Varanasi is always crowded with tourists and locals, but our corner feels a bit more settled. I’ve been running this place with a small team for a while. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just the dining room and the kitchen out back. We serve the kind of food that you’d want to eat on a Tuesday night or for a Sunday lunch with your kids. It isn't complicated. We try to keep the tables clean and the food coming out on time. Sometimes when it’s peak season in the city, we get really backed up, but we do what we can. People seem to appreciate that we’re just a local spot. We’ve gotten to know the regulars by name. It’s nice when someone walks in and you already know what they want to drink. We don't have a website or fancy posters. Just a sign outside and the food we make every day. It's just the way things are here, simple and steady. We hope to stay here for a long time and keep the kitchen going for the neighbors.
