Kokan Village Farmers Producer Company Limited

We started this over in Welas, specifically at Kishor Dattatray Sawant's place. Mandangad is where we are based and where we do most of our work. It’s a group of us from the village who decided to form this company because doing things alone was getting harder. Most days we are just busy with the crops and making sure everything is moving along the way it should. There are a lot of small farms around here. We try to figure out the best way to get things done without making it too complicated. Sometimes the weather doesn't help us much, but that’s just how it goes in Kokan. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a practical way for us to handle our farming business together. We spend a lot of time talking about what needs to happen next and how we can manage the transport or the seeds. It’s not always easy to coordinate everyone, but we manage. People know where to find us in Welas if they need to talk. We just want to keep things simple and keep the work going. It’s mostly about the land and the people we know here in the taluka. We are just local farmers trying to make it work. It's been a learning process for all of us since we registered this name. We keep at it every day and hope for the best.
