Kokan Vikas Agro Producer Company Limited is right in the heart of the Kokan region at Muchari, in the Sangameshwar area. Our main address is House Number 195B. If you know Kokan, you know how beautiful it is but also how specific the farming is here. We deal with a lot of the local crops that this soil is famous for. We started this company because we wanted to see the development of our village and help our fellow farmers get a better deal. Muchari is a small place, and everyone knows everyone. This company is basically just a formalized version of the way we’ve always helped each other out over the fence. We don't have any corporate office with air conditioning. We mostly meet at the house or out under a tree to talk about the harvest. It’s a very hands-on life. We’re focused on what we can grow and how to get it to the people who want it without it rotting on the way or being sold for nothing. It’s about practical things like transport and storage. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want our community in Sangameshwar to do a bit better each year. It takes a lot of patience and a lot of sweat, but that’s just part of being a farmer in Kokan. We’re proud of our land and we’re just trying to look after it.
