Anandgad Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are based at 101 Ratnagiri, which is in the Beed district. The name of our group is Anandgad Farmers Producer Company Limited. It’s a bit confusing for outsiders because the place is called Ratnagiri but we are actually in Beed. We are just a local bunch of guys who have been farming this area for as long as we can remember. Our office at number 101 is pretty basic. Just some tables, chairs, and a lot of registers filled with scribbles. We don't spend much time there unless we have to deal with the banks or the government people who come to visit. Most of our life is spent out in the open. Beed can be a tough place to farm because of the water problems, so we have to stay smart and work together. We started Anandgad so we could help each other out with seeds and selling the crops for a better price. It’s not a fancy corporate setup. We wear our work clothes to meetings and there is usually some dirt on the floor. Sometimes we forget to file a form on time because we were too busy in the fields, but we eventually get it sorted out. We aren't looking to be famous or huge. We just want the farmers in this part of Beed to have a fair chance. It’s about the community here.
