Our group is based in Pawas, right at the Gadi Adda area. Kokan Saj Womens Farmer Producer Company Limited is run by the local women here who know the land well. We work out of the space provided by Sanjay Bhikaji Chavan. It is a simple setup, nothing like those big offices you see in the cities. Most of us have our own small plots of land or work in the nearby orchards. Being in the Kokan region means we deal with a lot of specific crops like mangoes and cashews when the season is right. The humidity can be tough, but we are used to it by now. We meet up to discuss how to manage the collections and where the produce needs to go next. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy when everyone is talking at once, but we get the work done. It is important for us to have this central spot at 415616 to keep things moving. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just us handling the daily tasks and making sure the farmers get their fair share. We spend our afternoons sorting through paperwork or checking the quality of what comes in. It is a lot of hard work, but seeing the produce leave the gates makes it worth it.
