Our group, Kalamkar Patil Farmer Producer Company Limited, is made up of farmers from the Aurangabad district who wanted to join forces. Dealing with the market and the suppliers is a lot easier when you aren't doing it by yourself. We aren't some corporate office with people in suits. We are the same people you see out in the fields every day. The 431001 area is our home, and this company is just our way of managing our farm work better. We handle the collection of crops and try to find the best places to sell them. There is a lot of talking to neighbors and planning for the next planting season. It isn't always perfect. Sometimes we get the timing wrong or the weather ruins a batch of crops. We just take it as it comes. We started this because we needed a structure for our local farming group. Shri Ranagi’s place is where we get together to sort out the business side of things. It’s a very hands-on job. We don't have any fancy slogans or big promises.
