Our spot is at 67A in Jamage, which is a village in the Dapoli area of Ratnagiri. Being in the Konkan region, we are surrounded by greenery and hills. It’s a beautiful place, but the work we do at Kokan Rise Agro is very down-to-earth. The office is just a simple building in the village. We spend our days dealing with the agricultural side of things, specifically focusing on what grows best in this coastal soil. It’s not like a city job; we are governed by the seasons and the rain. During the monsoon, everything slows down a bit, but there’s still plenty of paperwork and planning to do. We are a small team and most of us have lived in Ratnagiri all our lives. We don’t have any polished marketing materials or a big corporate structure. It’s just us, some desks, and a lot of talk about crops and land. People from Jamage often drop by just to say hello or ask about something we’re working on. We like it that way. It’s a community-based approach to business. The road to Jamage can be a bit winding, but it’s worth it for the quiet and the fresh air. We focus on the practical side of agro-work, making sure things get done without making a big fuss about it. It’s an honest way to make a living and we’re proud to be part of the Dapoli taluka.
