Shree Ganga Jyoti School

We’ve been running Shree Ganga Jyoti School for a while now out here in Khara Bera Puroh. It’s a quiet spot in Luni, not too far from Jodhpur but far enough that it feels like its own place. The building isn't fancy or anything, just a regular space where kids from the village come to sit and learn. Most mornings start with everyone gathering in the yard, and you can hear the noise from the road if a tractor goes by. We try to keep things simple. There’s a lot of dust because of where we are, but we sweep up every day before classes start. The teachers here are mostly locals who know the families around here. It’s nice because we know who’s who. We have basic classrooms with benches and boards. Sometimes the fans make a bit of noise, but they work. We don’t have a big fancy website or glossy brochures. Parents just walk in and talk to us at the desk if they need something for their child. It’s mostly about making sure the kids have a place to go that isn’t too far from home. We keep the gates open early. Life in Luni is steady, and the school is just a part of that routine. We deal with the usual stuff like missing chalk or fixing a broken chair now and then. It’s just how it is.
