Indian School

Our school is called Indian School and we sit on Plot No 9 on Jhanwar Road. That’s in the Ratanada area of Jodhpur. The zip code is 342008. We’ve been here in Ratanada for a good while now. Jodhpur is a beautiful city, but it’s dusty and hot, which is something we deal with every day at the school. We spend a lot of time sweeping the hallways because of the wind. The school isn’t a huge complex, just a solid building on Jhanwar Road where we do our work. We have a set of teachers who have been with us for years. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles. We have classrooms, some benches, and a playground that gets a lot of use. Running a school involves a lot of small details that people don't see, like fixing a leaky tap or making sure the chalk supply is full. We just handle it as it comes. The parents from around Ratanada know us well. We talk to them at the gate or in the small office we have. It’s a very straightforward operation. We don’t have a big fancy website or glossy brochures. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here on Plot No 9 for years and people know where to find us. It’s a local life and we are happy with that. We have some old posters on the walls and a heavy bell we ring for classes.
