Ujjwal Senior Secondary School sits in the Rai Ka Bagh Colony of Bhopalgarh, over in Jodhpur. It’s a busy neighborhood and we are right in the thick of it. The school has been part of this community for years, and the building shows its age a little, but it’s sturdy and reliable. We have rooms for all the senior secondary grades, and it gets quite full during the peak hours. We don’t have any corporate polish or fancy reception areas. It’s just a place where students come to get their work done. The teachers have a lot of experience and they don't use a lot of complicated language. They just explain the subjects as simply as they can. In the mornings, you can hear the sound of the assembly and the kids talking in the halls. It’s a lively atmosphere. We focus a lot on the final exams because we know how much they matter for the students' futures. The desks might be a bit scratched up and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint more often, but the learning still happens. We don’t spend money on big ads; we just let the results speak for themselves. Most of the families around Rai Ka Bagh have sent at least one child here over the years. It’s just a regular school doing its best for the local kids. We are proud to keep the gates open and the lights on every morning.
