Gurukul International School

Our school, Gurukul International, is located right on Chopasni Road in Jodhpur. If you’ve been down this way, you’ve probably seen the gate. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always noise from the street, but we’re used to it by now. We’ve got a mix of buildings and a decent amount of space for the students. It’s not some polished, perfect place you see in brochures; it’s a working school. Some of the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the playground equipment has seen better days, but the kids don’t seem to care much. They’re too busy running around during their lunch break. Our teachers are mostly people from the local Jodhpur neighborhoods. We all show up in the morning, get the registers ready, and start the day. There isn’t much drama. We just follow the syllabus and try to keep the kids focused on their exams. When the afternoon sun hits the courtyard, it gets pretty hot, so we make sure everyone stays inside as much as possible. It’s just a regular life for us here on Chopasni Road. We do the paperwork, talk to the parents who drop by with questions, and wait for the final bell so we can all go home and do it again tomorrow. It is a steady routine and we don't expect it to change.
