Sri Sri Ravishankar Balvidya Mandir

We've been here on Pandit Karuppan Road for a while now. Most people in Cheranallur know us by the name Sri Sri Ravishankar Balvidya Mandir. It's a school, mostly for the kids around the Edappally area. We try to keep things simple. The day usually starts early with a bit of noise from the playground. It’s just how it is when you have a lot of students in one place. We don't have fancy marble floors or anything, but the classrooms are okay and we have enough desks for everyone. Teachers here live nearby mostly. They walk or take the bus. We follow the usual books and lessons that schools in Ernakulam are supposed to. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty when the wind blows from the road, but we manage. If you’re looking for the place, it’s right there in Cheranellore, near the post office. People often stop by to ask about admissions or just to drop off their kids in the morning. We have a small staff room where we sit and have tea during breaks. It's not a huge campus, but there is space for the kids to run around a bit during lunch. We keep the gate shut during school hours for safety, which is standard. There’s no big sign with neon lights, just the name on the wall. We’ve had many batches of kids pass through these doors over the years. Some come back to visit, some don’t, but that’s just life.
