We have been operating Abhinandan Veg Restaurant for a long time now. We are located at Hotel Srinivas in the Srinivas Enclave on M G Road. We mostly see people who work nearby or students from the college. Our focus is just on serving vegetarian food every day. The kitchen is small but we keep it clean. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything fancy like that. It is just a regular place with tables and chairs where you can sit down. Sometimes we run out of things on the menu if the market was short that morning. We just tell people honestly. I usually stay at the counter while the others handle the cooking. We have seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. The traffic on M G Road has definitely gotten worse lately. We open early in the morning to get things ready for the breakfast crowd. It is hard work staying on your feet all day. We do the cleaning ourselves after we close up at night. It is not a glamorous life, but it is our business. We do not put out ads in the paper or anything. Most people just know we are here. We just try to keep the lights on and the food ready for whoever walks in.
