Akshaya Pure Vegetarian Restaurant

Akshaya Pure Vegetarian Restaurant is located on Civil Line Road in the Padamughal area of Ernakulam. We are sitting right opposite the Bharath Petroleum station, so we see a lot of cars and bikes pulling in all day long. Being a vegetarian-only place means we get a lot of local families who live around Padamughal. We also get office people who want a quick lunch that isn't too heavy. The restaurant is quite simple inside. We have basic furniture and a few fans to keep the air moving. In Kerala, it’s always a bit humid, so we do our best to keep it comfortable. We start our day very early to get the idli and dosa batter ready for the breakfast crowd. The sambar has to be fresh every day or people will notice right away. We don't have a big marketing budget or any fancy social media pages. Most people just stop by because they are passing through Civil Line Road or they live nearby. The staff is just a few local guys who know the menu by heart. We don't use any complicated ingredients, just the regular stuff you'd find in a South Indian kitchen. It’s an honest way to make a living and we’ve been at it for a while now. It’s just a normal, everyday vegetarian hotel where the food is prepared just like it is at home.
