Fen Fang Chinese Restaurant

Our place is right opposite the Malayala Manorama office in Panampilly Nagar. If you know Kochi, you know this is a pretty nice area to be in. Fen Fang has been serving Chinese food here for a long time. It’s not one of those fusion places; we just stick to what we know. The kitchen is the heart of our restaurant, and it gets really hot in there with the woks going all at once. We get a lot of people from the nearby offices during lunch, and then families come in for dinner. The seating is simple, and we haven't changed the decor much over the years. We focus more on the cooking than on how the walls look. Sometimes the wait for a table can be a bit long on weekends, and we just ask people to be patient. My staff and I are always on the move, carrying plates and taking down orders on little pads of paper. We don't have a fancy digital system for everything. We like the atmosphere of Panampilly Nagar; it’s got a good mix of residential and commercial spots. We just want to make sure the food tastes the same every time you visit. It’s hard work, especially during the monsoon when the rain is pouring down outside, but we keep the doors open and the stove hot for anyone who wants a meal. We are just a local spot doing our best.
