De Alif Kitchen

De Alif Kitchen is our spot on NH 17 in Edapally. We are right across from the Lulu Mall, which everyone knows. It’s a very busy road, especially on the weekends when everyone is heading to the mall. We are over in Ernakulam, and we’ve been here for a bit now. The location is good because people see us while they are stuck in traffic. It’s not a very big kitchen. We mostly focus on getting the food out to the tables quickly. We don't have any of that modern minimalist furniture. Our chairs are just basic wood and plastic. It feels like a real kitchen, smells like one too. Sometimes the noise from the highway is a bit much, but you get used to it after a while. We have a few guys who have been working with us since we opened. We don't really do any fancy plating or anything. The food just goes on the plate and out it goes. Most of our customers are locals who don't want to deal with the crowds inside the mall. They just want something simple. We don't have a big website or a social media person. We just rely on people seeing the sign from the road. It’s a straightforward business for us. We just try to keep things honest and keep the kitchen running smooth every single day. We stay focused on the work and nothing else.
