Colombo Restaurant

Colombo Restaurant has been sitting on Canon Shed Road for a long time. We are right here in Ernakulam, 682011. It is a busy street and there is always something going on right outside our doors. We started this place because we wanted to have a steady business in the middle of the city. The space we have is a bit narrow, but we make it work for the customers. We have a few cooks and someone at the front to handle the bills and the phone. Most of the people who come here are workers from the nearby shops or people heading down to the docks for the day. We do not have air conditioning, so it can get pretty warm in the afternoons. We just open the windows wide and keep the ceiling fans going. The kitchen is always busy with something. We buy our supplies from the local markets every single morning. It is a lot of work to keep things going day after day. We do not have a website or anything like that. People just know us from walking by or hearing about us from their friends and family. We serve what we have on the board for the day. Sometimes we run out of things early if it is a busy Friday. It is just how it goes here. We like being part of this neighborhood. Canon Shed Road has history and we are just one part of it.
