We are tucked away in Kunnath Lane, right near S N Junction in Palarivattom. Ernakulam is a busy place, but our little corner is a bit more tucked back from the main noise. We do a lot of grilled meat and chicken. You can usually smell the charcoal from the end of the street. It is not a very big shop, so it gets crowded pretty quickly in the evenings when people are heading home from work. We have a few tables, but a lot of our customers just prefer to take their food to go. The grill stays hot for most of the night. We aren't using any fancy machines; it is just traditional coal and fire. Our guys in the kitchen have been doing this for a long time and they know exactly when the meat is done. Sometimes the smoke gets into everything, but that is part of the experience. We keep our menu simple so we can just do what we are good at. The prices are fair because we want the locals to be able to eat here often. It’s a bit of a messy job, handling the marinade and the heat, but we enjoy it. We don't have fancy decorations, just some basic seating and good lighting so you can see what you are eating. It’s a honest little business.
