CHETTINAD KITCHEN

If you're ever walking down Civil Lane Road in Palarivattom, you'll find our kitchen right there. We are located in Ernakulam, specifically opposite the Mars building, which is a landmark most people in the area know. Our kitchen is a busy place. We spend most of our morning prepping everything so that we're ready for the lunch rush. It’s not a huge, sprawling space, but we make the most of what we have. The sounds of chopping and the smell of spices are pretty much constant from the time we open until we close up for the night. We aren't a big fancy restaurant with white tablecloths. We’re more about the cooking and getting food out to people who live and work around Palarivattom. The road outside can get pretty jammed up with cars and bikes, especially during the peak hours, but that just adds to the energy of the place. We have a small team of cooks who have been doing this for years. They don't need fancy recipes, they just know how to make things taste right. We don't do much advertising or anything like that. People mostly find out about us because they work nearby or they live in the lanes behind the main road. It’s a humble setup, but we take our work seriously. We’re just a local kitchen trying to do right by the folks in Ernakulam who enjoy a good, simple meal every day without any extra frills or corporate nonsense.
