Bubble Cafe (The Gateway Hotel)

Bubble Cafe is tucked inside The Gateway Hotel on Shanmugam Road. We are right on Marine Drive in Ernakulam, so the view of the backwaters is right there. The building has a very distinct shape, and the cafe is part of that glass structure that lets in all the light. It is a very busy spot because Marine Drive is where everyone in Kochi goes for a walk in the evening. We see a lot of people coming in for breakfast before they start their work day in the city. The vibe is pretty casual for a hotel cafe. We have a lot of different things on the menu, mostly stuff that people can eat quickly if they are in a hurry. The kitchen is always moving, especially during the buffet times. We have large windows, so you can watch the boats going back and forth while you sit. It is not a quiet place, but it has a good energy to it. The staff is used to the fast pace. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just serve food and drinks to whoever walks in through the hotel lobby. It’s a convenient place for a meeting or just to sit and look at the water for a bit. The local crowd knows us well, and we try to keep things running smoothly every day.
