Biryani Kada

We've been here on Market Road for a while now. If you know the Kombara area in Kacherippady, you probably know where we are located. We sit right across from the Muhiyadheen Juma Masjid. It gets pretty busy around here, especially on Fridays after the prayers. People are always coming and going from the mosque or just passing through this part of Ernakulam. Our place isn't anything fancy, just a regular spot where you can get a plate of food and sit down for a bit. The street outside is always noisy with traffic and people shouting, but that's just how Market Road is. We start early in the morning, getting things ready before the lunch rush. It’s a lot of work handling the big pots and making sure everything is ready. Sometimes the weather is too hot, or it’s raining hard like it usually does in Kerala, but we keep the doors open anyway. Most of our customers are locals who work nearby or people who just happen to be in the area for their shopping. We don’t really do much advertising or any of that. People just know we are here. It’s a simple setup with tables and chairs that have seen better days, but it works for us. We just focus on getting the food out to whoever walks in through the door. It’s a bit of a squeeze when it’s crowded, but nobody seems to mind much because they are just here to eat and get on with their day. We keep the fans running to help with the heat.
