Immanuel International Academy

Our school is situated in Rani Danga, which is near Ranidanga in the Siliguri area. It is a bit away from the main hustle and bustle of the town, which we actually quite like. The air feels a bit fresher out here, though it does get very humid and rainy during the monsoon season. We have a solid building and some open space where the kids can run around when the weather is dry. Most of us who work here live in or around Siliguri, so we have a bit of a commute every morning. The school day usually starts with us checking the classrooms and making sure the supplies are ready. We are not a massive institution with a huge board of directors. It is just a local school where we know most of the students by their first names. We spend a lot of time dealing with the small stuff, like fixing a broken desk or organizing the library books that have been left in a mess. The canteen is small, but the food is decent, and it is where we all gather to take a break. We do not try to sound like some high-end international corporation. We are just a group of teachers and staff members who care about the local kids and want to give them a decent place to spend their day. It is simple, honest work.
