Baghajatin Vidyapith

Baghajatin Vidyapith is based at 45/14 in the Baghajatin Colony area of Pradhan Nagar. Since we are in Siliguri, we deal with the usual heat and the heavy rains, but the school stays open through it all. We have a lot of history in this building. It’s not a modern glass structure; it’s more of a traditional setup with solid walls and big windows to let the air in. The teachers here have been around for years and they know the curriculum inside out. We focus on the local kids from the colony and the surrounding parts of Pradhan Nagar. It’s a place where everyone knows everyone else. You’ll often see parents standing outside the gates chatting after the final bell rings. We have a library that’s a bit cramped, but it has all the textbooks the students need. The desks have some scratches and carvings from students who moved on long ago. We don't see the need to replace everything just for the sake of looking new. As long as the kids can sit and write, we are happy. We keep things simple and practical. Our goal is just to make sure the students finish their exams and learn how to be decent people. It is a lot of work, but being part of the Baghajatin Colony community makes it worth the effort every day.
