Birla Divya Jyoti School

We are located right in the heart of Uttorayon Township in Siliguri. People know this area well because it’s a quiet part of town, and Birla Divya Jyoti School fits right in with the surroundings. It isn't a very loud place. Most mornings you just hear the buses coming through the gates and the sound of students walking up the stairs. The campus has a lot of space, which is nice for when the weather is good and everyone is out on the grounds. We spend a lot of time just keeping things running smoothly. Siliguri can get quite rainy during the monsoon, so we spend a lot of those months making sure the halls stay dry and the kids don’t track too much mud inside. It’s a pretty standard routine here. We have teachers who have been here for a long time and some newer faces too. Everyone just does their job. The Uttorayon area has grown a lot since we first started, so there are more houses around us now. Sometimes the traffic outside can be a bit much during drop-off times, but we manage. We aren't trying to be anything fancy, just a school where the kids come to learn and go home at the end of the day. The building is solid and it’s a place where things just work. It feels like a small community within the township itself. We've got the usual classrooms and desks, nothing out of the ordinary, just what is needed for a day of lessons.
