Samsoorya Architects

Our place is at No 61/85 on Othavadai Street, right across from the Ram Theatre in Kodambakkam. If you live in this part of town, you know exactly where that is because the theater is a big deal. We are also quite near the Nagathamman Kovil, so on festival days, the whole street gets packed with people and music. Samsoorya Architects is just a small office in the middle of all that Kodambakkam energy. It gets pretty loud when a movie lets out or when the temple bells start ringing, but it keeps us awake. The office itself is full of half-finished models and rulers. We have a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day long to keep the heat away. It is not a very formal place. Most of the time, we are wearing slippers and drinking tea while looking at site photos. The walls have some old photos of buildings we worked on years ago. There is a lot of traffic on Othavadai Street, so parking a car can be a real headache, but most people just come by bike anyway. We’ve been here for years and the shopkeepers nearby all know us. It is a busy, messy, and lively part of the city to work in. We don't have fancy glass partitions or anything like that, just wooden desks and a lot of work to do every single day.
