You can find us in Sholinganallur, specifically at S 1 No 53 on 18th Avenue. We’re near the Toll Gate and New Kumaran Nagar, and the Kings School is a good reference point if you’re trying to find the 11th Cross Extension. The office is tucked away in a spot that gets a fair amount of breeze, which is nice given the Chennai heat. We deal with both architecture and interiors, so our desks are always a mess of technical drawings and fabric samples. It’s a small group of us here, and we’ve been working together in this neighborhood for some time. We spend a lot of our day talking through how to make a room feel right or how to fix a structural issue on a site. There’s no big corporate hierarchy; we just sit around and figure things out. Sholinganallur is growing fast, so there’s always something new being built nearby. We often walk over to our project sites if they are close enough, just to see the progress. The office feels very much like a part of the local community. We don’t try to be something we’re not. We just focus on the work at hand and try to make sure we don't miss any of the small details that matter when someone is actually living in a space. We have a big map of Chennai on the wall with markers for all the sites we've worked on. It’s a lot of driving back and forth.
