You can find us on the first floor at No 26/56 on Balakrishnan Nayakar Street, which is just off Arya Gowda Road in West Mambalam. We are quite close to the Hdfc Bank, so it’s a landmark most people in the neighborhood know. West Mambalam is a very busy part of Chennai, with lots of traffic and people always on the move. Our office is a bit of a refuge from all that noise, though you can still hear the horns honking from the street below. The space is filled with drafting boards, old files, and a few computers that are always running. It’s not a large office, so we have to be careful about how we use the space. Every corner is filled with something—rolls of paper, samples of tiles, or boxes of old records. We don’t have a professional cleaning crew coming in every night, so there’s usually a bit of dust and a few stray coffee rings on the tables. It’s an honest workspace where we focus on getting the designs right. We spend our days drawing, calculating, and talking to contractors on the phone. Sometimes we have to move the furniture around just to find enough room to look at a large blueprint. It’s a bit chaotic at times, but it’s where we feel most comfortable. We’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers know us by name, and we like being part of this busy community.
