Space Scape Architects

Our office is located at No 15, Palurkanniappan Street in Mylapore. We’re quite close to Vivekananda College, so the area always has a lot of students and activity. Mylapore is an old part of Chennai with narrow streets and a lot of character, and our street is no exception. The office itself is in a building that has seen plenty of years. Inside, it’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes because we have so many files and rolls of drawings stored away. We don’t have a fancy setup with a receptionist or a glass conference room. Usually, if you come by, you’ll just see us sitting at our desks with headphones on or huddled around a table looking at a site plan. The walls are mostly bare, except for a few project photos that we pinned up a long time ago. There’s a lot of coming and going, with people heading out to check on sites or meeting with clients at their own locations. When we are in the office, it’s mostly quiet work, punctuated by the sound of the street outside. We keep a lot of our samples in boxes under the desks because there just isn't enough shelf space. It’s a practical, no-nonsense place where we focus on the task at hand. The local shops nearby are great for a quick lunch, and we’ve become a part of the daily life on Palurkanniappan Street over the years.
