We’ve been at 35 Dhamodhara Murthy Road in Kilpauk for a while now. It’s a busy corner of Chennai and things are always moving outside our door. Naveen started this place because he liked the way buildings come together. We spend most of our mornings looking at floor plans and tracing lines on paper. Sometimes the office gets a bit messy with blueprints and coffee cups, but that’s just how it goes when you’re trying to figure out a tough layout. Kilpauk has changed over the years, with new shops opening up and traffic getting a bit more crowded on our street, but we’re still here doing the same thing. We aren't a big fancy firm with a glass building. It’s just us in a regular office space. Usually, people just walk in or call us when they want to change their house or build something new. We talk about walls, where the windows should go, and how much cement we might need. It’s not always exciting, but it’s the work we know. Sometimes we argue about a design for an hour before finding a middle ground. It’s a small team, so we all know each other’s habits. If you’re around the Kilpauk area, you’ve probably passed by our sign a dozen times. We just keep our heads down and try to get the drawings right so the builders don’t have a hard time on site later.
