Vedanta Book House

Vedanta Book House has been sitting here at number 92 on Udyaravi Road for a while. We are right beside Uma Theatre in Chamrajpet, specifically in the Kuvempunagar area. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows the theatre. Being on this road means we see a lot of people coming and going throughout the day. The shop itself is filled with all sorts of reading material. We have stacks of books in different languages and for different school subjects. It’s not always perfectly organized, but we know where everything is if you ask us for help. Some people just like to come in and browse the shelves after a movie or while waiting for a friend. I spend most of my day here checking what’s come in and what needs ordering for the next week. We try to stock what the local students and readers ask for most. It’s a bit of a quiet life inside the shop compared to the noise of the traffic outside. We’ve got paper, pens, and those thick registers that some offices still use. The building is an old one, so it has that certain smell of paper and dust that you only find in real bookshops. We aren't trying to be a big modern store with bright lights. It's just a place to get your books and go about your day. Usually, we open up in the morning and stay until the theater crowds thin out at night. It works for us and the people around here seem to appreciate having us nearby.
