You can find S R S Book Center at 46 Shiva Plaza, right across from Adigas Hotel on Avenue Road. Being on Avenue Road means we are right in the thick of things. It’s always loud and crowded outside, but we’ve made our little space in Shiva Plaza feel like home. We’ve been selling books here for a long time. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be clever about how we stack things. It’s not uncommon to see books piled up from the floor to the ceiling. We don't go for that polished, modern look you see in the malls. This is a traditional book stall where the focus is on the inventory, not the decor. We’re just regular people working here, trying to help out the students and readers who walk through the door. Most of our customers are people who are already in the area for a meal at Adigas or just passing through the market. We don't have a big mission statement or anything fancy like that. We just sell books. Sometimes it's a bit chaotic when a lot of people are in at once, but we manage to get everyone sorted. It’s a simple, gritty part of the city and we’ve been part of it for years. If you need a book and you're in the neighborhood, just stop in.
