International Book House

We are over at 122 Vijaya Complex, which is right opposite the Ganesh Temple on Market Yard Road in Santh Tukaram Nagar, Madivala. It’s a busy part of the neighborhood with the temple right there and people always coming and going from the market. We’ve been in this complex for quite a while now. The shop is a bit of a local staple for people in Madivala. We don't have a lot of space for fancy displays, so we just focus on the books themselves. They’re everywhere—on the shelves, in boxes, and sometimes piled on the counter. It’s a real working bookshop. We don't use any of that corporate lingo or try to act bigger than we are. It’s just us running the place day to day. We get a lot of folks stopping by after they visit the temple or finish their shopping at the market yard. It’s a nice mix of people. The air in the shop always has that specific paper smell that you only get in old-school book houses. We try to keep things somewhat organized, but it’s a constant battle against the new stock coming in. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, just give us a shout. We usually have a good idea of where everything is hidden. It’s just a plain, honest shop for anyone who needs something to read.
