Bindu Book House

Our shop is at 5 Span Landmark on Andheri Kurla Road, out in Sunkadakatte. It’s a busy area, so there’s always something going on outside our windows. We’ve been running Bindu Book House for a bit now. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and more shelves. We don’t have much room for anything else. Sometimes the floor gets a bit cluttered when a new shipment arrives. It takes us a few days to get everything sorted out and priced. We try to keep things organized by subject, but things often end up in the wrong spots. That's just part of it. Most of the folks who come in are from the neighborhood. They stop by on their way home from work. The lighting isn't the brightest in the back corners, but most people don't seem to mind. We use an old desk for the register and keep a lot of our records in notebooks. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us taking turns. The rent keeps going up, but we’re still here for now. It’s a lot of heavy lifting with the crates of books. We’re not trying to be anything special, just a place to buy a book. The traffic on Andheri Kurla Road is always loud, so we usually play some music to drown it out. Come by if you're in the area. We’re usually here until late most nights and we don't mind if you browse.
