Jay Book Centre

Jay Book Centre is located at 25, right opposite Kanti Sweets on 5th Main Road in Ganganagar. It’s a pretty easy landmark to find. If you smell the sweets, you’re basically there. We’ve been operating out of this spot for years. The shop isn't huge, but we make use of every inch of wall space we have. We’ve got books stacked up high, so you might need to look up to see everything. It’s a local operation, mostly just us and the regulars who come in from around Ganganagar. We don’t do any of that corporate stuff. We just focus on keeping the shelves full. Some days are slow and we spend time rearranging things, and other days it’s a bit of a squeeze with everyone inside. We like the 5th Main Road area because it’s got a good neighborhood feel to it. People stop by on their way home. We don't have a website with bells and whistles; we just have the shop. If you want a book, you come in, you look around, and you take it home. It’s a very straightforward way of doing business. We try to be helpful if you’re looking for a particular title, but we also like letting people just browse in peace. It’s just a small, practical place for anyone who still likes a printed page.
