V M G Book House

V M G Book House is located at 356 in Ambica Nagar, which is part of the Nandini Layout area. We are right near the last bus stop, so we see a lot of people waiting around for their ride to show up. Often, they will wander into the shop just to kill some time or see what we have on the shelves. It is a good spot for us because of all that foot traffic. The shop itself is pretty basic. We have a lot of school textbooks and notebooks because there are several families with kids living nearby. The walls are lined with simple metal racks that are usually overflowing with paper. It’s not the biggest place, and sometimes it feels a bit cramped when more than three or four people are inside at once. We spend a lot of our time dusting the covers because the wind from the bus stop brings in a lot of grit from the road. Nandini Layout is a growing place, but this corner near the bus stop feels like a little community of its own. We have a small radio that usually plays in the background while we sort through the new arrivals. We aren't trying to be a big bookstore chain or anything. We just keep the things that the local people need and try to make sure we don't run out of the popular items. It’s a simple life running a shop like this one.
