You can find us at 234 BKG Complex, right near the Chickpet Police Station. Chickpet is a place where you really have to know where you are going or you’ll get lost in the alleys. We have been operating from this complex for quite a while. It’s a family business, passed down through the years. We deal mostly with books and paper products. The shop is filled with old wooden cupboards and metal racks. There’s a certain way we do things here that hasn't changed much since my father’s time. We keep our records in big handwritten ledgers and we know most of the other merchants around here. The area near the police station is always crowded with shoppers and vehicles, so it’s never quiet. We have a small space where we sit and talk to customers who come in to place orders. Sometimes we share a coffee while we figure out the details of a shipment. It’s a bit dark inside the complex, but we have enough lights to see what we’re doing. We don't go in for any modern decorations or anything like that. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are usually too busy to get around to it. It’s a place built on old relationships and daily routine. We just show up every morning and open the locks. That’s how it’s always been for us here in the market.
