Svl Book Centre

Our shop is located in the P S Building, which is number 51 near the Delhi Gate in Kalasipalyam. It’s a hectic area with lots of buses and people moving through all the time. Being near the gate means there is always something going on outside our door. We mostly deal with books of all kinds. The building itself has been around for a bit, and we’ve settled into our space on the ground floor. We spend a lot of time organizing the stacks and making sure things aren't too messy, though it's hard when new shipments arrive. Kalasipalyam has its own rhythm, and we are just part of that daily cycle. We open up in the morning when the fog is still hanging around the old gate. Some customers have been coming to us for years, just looking for something to read or a specific textbook for their kids. We don't really do anything fancy here. It's just shelves, books, and us behind the counter. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit there with the door open to let the light in. The floors are a bit worn from all the walking. We keep the books as tidy as we can, but there's always a pile somewhere that needs sorting. It's a simple operation at Svl Book Centre. We just keep doing what we do every day. It's mostly about handling the books and keeping things moving through the shop.
