Sri Subrahmanya Book Center

We are located at number 15 in Narasimharaja Colony, right next to Hotel Dwaraka on 7th Cross. Being next to a hotel is actually quite helpful because people use it as a landmark to find us. Sri Subrahmanya Book Center has been a part of this street for a while. The shop is filled with stacks of books and papers, and sometimes it feels like we are running out of room. We carry a lot of academic books because of the schools and colleges around here. Students come in looking for specific guides or textbooks, and we spend a lot of time digging through the piles to find exactly what they need. It is not a very modern shop with bright lights or carpets. We have wooden shelves that have seen better days and a ceiling fan that hums a bit too loudly. Usually, it’s just one or two of us working here. We know the routine of the morning rush and the quiet afternoons when the sun hits the front window. NR Colony is a nice place to be, and we like being on this particular cross. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in, ask for what they want, and we see if we have it in the back. It is a very straightforward way of doing business. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when it’s slow and watch the people go into the hotel.
