You can find us over at the Bda Complex in Banashankari, specifically at number 41, Sri Nilaya. We are right on Udhna Main Road, and the best way to tell someone how to get here is to mention the HP GAS Godown because everyone knows where that is. The BDA complex is always a bit chaotic with people coming and going for all sorts of errands. Our shop, Sri Shirdi Sai Book Centre, is usually full of school kids and their parents looking for pens, maps, or textbooks. It gets quite hot in this part of the building, especially in the afternoons, so I usually have the fan going full blast. The shelves are made of metal and they are crammed with everything from stationery to religious books. Being near the gas godown means there are always big trucks moving around nearby, so it’s never really quiet. I spend a lot of time just moving boxes around to make space for people to walk. Banashankari is a huge area, so we see a lot of different faces every day. I’ve got a small plastic chair near the entrance where I sit when there aren't many customers. It’s not a very pretty shop, just a practical one for the people who live in the flats nearby or attend the schools around here. We just try to keep the things people actually need in stock so they don't have to go far.
