Sri Ram Book Centre

We are located right near Adigas Hotel in Rajeshwari Market on Avenue Road. If you know this part of Bangalore, you know how crowded it gets, especially in the mornings when the trucks are unloading. Our shop is just one of many here, but we’ve been around for a while. Usually, people come in looking for school textbooks or some specific stationary they can't find elsewhere. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to fit as many stacks as possible. Sometimes the lighting isn't great in the back corners, but we know where everything is kept. You might have to wait a minute if there are a few people ahead of you. We don't have a fancy computer system for everything, so we just check the shelves by hand. Most days it’s just us handling the customers and making sure the new stock gets put away properly. Avenue Road has a lot of history with books, and we are just a small part of that. It’s noisy outside with the horns and people shouting, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of paper moving. We open up early and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. There isn't much to say other than we keep what people ask for. If we don't have it, we usually tell you where else to look nearby. That's just the way things work around here at Sri Ram Book Centre.
