Sri Guru Raghavendra Book Stall

Located at 41275 Nalasopara on the Magadi Main Road, Sri Guru Raghavendra Book Stall is a small place. The road outside is always busy with trucks and buses going past, so there is a lot of noise and exhaust. We have a metal shutter that we pull up every morning to show the magazines and newspapers we have out front. Inside, the space is narrow and the books are stacked quite tightly against the walls. We have a lot of religious books and local calendars that people like to buy. The floor is just simple tiles that have some cracks in them from years of use. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit when there are no customers. Magadi Main Road is a long stretch, and we are just one of the many small businesses along the way. Sometimes the rain comes in under the door if the wind is blowing the right way, so we have to keep the books off the floor. It is a basic way to make a living, but it keeps us busy. We don't have any fancy lights or music playing. Just the sound of the traffic and the occasional person asking for a specific magazine. We have been here a while and don't plan on going anywhere else. We just keep the stall open and wait for the regulars to stop by for their daily paper.
