Sri Gayathri Book Store

We are right here on Avenue Road, just across from Santhi Medicals. It is a busy spot in Sayajigunj and we have been in this small space for quite some time now. Most mornings start with unlocking the front gate and dusting off the stacks that piled up. If you are looking for us, look for the 44/1 door number. We don't have a big fancy sign, but people usually find their way here easily enough. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cramped when we get new boxes in, but we manage to shift things around. The traffic on the road is always loud, yet inside it feels a bit quieter once you get past the entrance. We keep a lot of different things on the shelves, mostly because people keep asking for them. It is not a very modern place, but it works for what we do every day. We usually keep the door open so the breeze comes in, even if it brings a bit of dust with it. Most of our day is spent helping people find a specific title or just nodding to the regulars who pass by on their way to the medical store across the way. It is a simple life here at Sri Gayathri Book Store. We just focus on keeping the shelves stocked and making sure the lights stay on for whoever needs to browse through our collection. It is just us here, doing what we know.
