Sri Balaji Books Stores

Sri Balaji Books Stores is set up in Postal Colony, which is part of the Sanjay Nagar area. We actually take up two spots, numbers 5 and 6, so we have a bit more room than some of the other shops nearby. Sanjay Nagar is a lively place to be. We get all kinds of people coming through our doors every day. Mostly, it’s just folks looking for something to read or school books for their kids. We keep the shop simple. There are no fancy decorations or anything like that. Just plenty of shelves and enough light to see what you are doing. Working in Postal Colony is nice because everyone knows everyone else. It feels like a real community. We spend a lot of our time organizing the stock and making sure everything is in the right place. Sometimes we get a big shipment in and the whole floor is covered in cardboard for a few hours. We just work around it. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here, even if we aren't all related. We drink a lot of coffee and talk to the neighbors when they pass by the front window. It’s a basic shop but it serves the area well. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just provide books to the people of Sanjay Nagar and keep things moving along. It is an honest living and we enjoy the pace of it.
