Sri Balaji Books Centre

Our shop, Sri Balaji Books Centre, is over in Vinayak Layout, Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar. If you know where the KEB office is on 1st Main, we are right near there on 1st Cross. It’s a pretty easy spot to find if you’re familiar with the neighborhood. We have been here for a good while, serving the people around RT Nagar. The shop isn't very large, but we pack a lot into the space we have. There are books from the floor almost to the ceiling in some parts. It can be a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are browsing at once. We like the local feel of this area. It’s mostly residential, so we see a lot of the same faces every week. Being near the KEB office helps because people use it as a landmark. We don't do any big advertising. Word of mouth usually brings people in. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when it's quiet. The morning sun hits the front of the shop just right. We try to keep things simple and helpful. If we don’t have a book, we usually know where to tell you to look. It’s just a small family-run type of place. No corporate rules here, just us trying to keep the shelves full for the neighbors. We stay busy enough most days and keep the doors open for everyone.
