Shankars Book People

Shankars Book People is tucked away at 394 1st D Main Road in Domlur, specifically the Murugeshpalya area. It is a bit of a quiet spot compared to the big malls. We have been operating out of this building for a while. The shop is filled with a variety of books, and we don't really stick to just one kind. It is a lot of work keeping everything sorted, and sometimes we spend hours just putting things back in the right place. We aren't a big company with lots of employees. It is just a small group of us who handle everything from cleaning to sales. The street, 1st D Main Road, is mostly residential and small offices, so we get a mix of different people coming in. Some are looking for something to read on their break, and others are students from nearby. We have our own way of doing things here, which might seem a bit old-fashioned to some. We don't have much in the way of fancy tech. We just use our ledgers and our memory to keep things going. It’s a decent place to spend the day, surrounded by books. We just try to make sure we have what people are looking for when they make the trip to Murugeshpalya. It is an honest living, and we just take it one day at a time.
